Meet Your Teachers

Alex Robinson

Alex first found yoga in 2011 in the donation based classes held at Runyon Canyon Park shortly after moving to Los Angeles. Soon after, in 2012, she discovered hot yoga at Modo Yoga LA and was hooked, practicing daily, and quickly knew she wanted to become a teacher to grow her practice and share it's benefits with the world. On her yoga mat she found a peace and calm she hadn't been able to access before, found strength in her body she thought she didn't possess, and found a community of people who supported her growth. In 2016 after relocating to San Diego and meeting Liam she went to Bali, Indonesia to complete her first 200 hour Hatha Tantra teacher training with Zuna Yoga. Since, she has completed, coached, and facilitated over 1000 hours of taining in vinyasa, hot power fusion, yoga sculpt, functional mobility, pain free performance, corrective exercise and personal training. Alex has a fascination with the anatomy and physiology behind a physical yoga practice and how our bodies can learn and benefit form it. She lives by "nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something" and brings this into her classes, encouraging students to start where they are and grow from there. In Alex's classes you will find a strong focus on alignment and breath, you will move slowly and intentionally, and you may even laugh a little!

Liam Robinson

Liam has been practicing meditation and yoga for most of his life - as a child he was introduced to meditation through his martial arts classes, and later as a young adult revisited formal meditation training and practice as a tool for better mental health. In 2010, through books, online instruction, and studio classes, he learned about yoga as a meditation tradition. Over the following decade, he completed certification and professional training in a variety of modalities of yoga practice- vinyasa, hatha, traditional hot, yin, restorative, nidra, and others. And meditation ranging from simple and concise anxiety management tools to the esoteric. In the time since, he has delivered thousands of hours of group and private instruction as well as training and workshops for students and for teachers. Liam considers yoga practice as interconnected with and embodied in everything. In his classes you will develop a practice of mindful movement and mindful stillness, cultivate awareness of your own agency, and have a compassionate space for curiosity and discovery.
